The workout focuses on core strengthening and mobility - a very important part of maintaining healthy condition during the season. ARENA WORKOUT WITH WILL
This workout focuses on enhancing power, control and balance - the perfect combination for a soccer player. If you enhance your control while executing explosive movements, you greatly reduce the risk of injury and your movements with and without the ball become cleaner and more precise. William does this workout in the famous Dacia Arena, but you can do these exercises on stairs, a bench or even a box!
WIN THE BALL WITH WILL WORKOUT
To finish off the day, we took this workout to the streets of Italy! William is a central defender for both Udinese Calcio and Nigerian Super Eagles - a key role in any soccer team. So a huge part of his game is the ability to win balls in the air to score or protect the goal. These movements can make or break a match, so Ekong needs to be beyond exceptional in this area. This workout incorporates explosive, lifting exercises to improve his aerial power and landing stability. These exercises (when done well) are beneficial for any soccer player to enhance their power on the pitch.
